Privacy policy
Last updated: 17 October 2026
This policy explains what information Zaloona collects when you use our Android app and website, and how we use it. This is a pilot-stage policy and should be reviewed by a legal advisor before public launch.
Information we collect
- Account details: your name, phone number, optional email address, chosen city and a securely hashed password (we never store your password in readable form).
- Salon details (salon owners): salon name, address, phone number, description, services, prices, opening hours and photos you upload.
- Bookings: the salon, service, date and time you book, optional notes and the booking status.
- Billing (salon owners): your monthly invoices and the payment details you report — payment method, the phone number you paid from and the Zaad/eDahab transaction ID — so we can verify your payment.
- Device information: a push-notification token so we can send booking updates, and basic technical logs used to keep the service secure.
How we use it
- To run your account and process bookings between customers and salons.
- To share what's needed for a booking: a salon sees the name and phone number of customers who booked with it. Customers see the salon's public profile. Customers never see other customers' information.
- To send notifications about your bookings or salon application.
- To prevent abuse, fraud and unauthorised access.
We do not sell your personal information.
Storage and security
Data is stored on our servers and transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Access is limited to the people who need it to operate Zaloona. Sign-in tokens on your phone are stored in encrypted storage.
